“To know yourself, you must know your history.” – Dr. Yosef Ben-Jochann
When most people think of Africa, they think of slavery, poverty, or colonization.
But long before chains, ships, or stolen gold, Africa was the birthplace of civilization.
The story of Black people does not begin in bondage—it begins in brilliance.
Before slavery, Africa had empires: Kemet, Kush, Mali, Songhai, Ghana, Axum.
Before colonization, Africa had schools, governments, spirituality, and agriculture.
Before oppression, Africa gave the world math, astronomy, medicine, trade, and law.
